St. Hildegard recommended a spring cure with wormwood drink as a “master remedy against all exhaustion,” because, in her view, wormwood strongly regenerates and improves the performance of the human body. It acts like a true energy boost.
The wormwood tincture contains bitter substances and aromatic oils that positively affect blood circulation, thereby stabilizing heart function. The bitter compounds stimulate the secretory functions of the mucosa, helping to remove deposits from blood vessels, which may protect against atherosclerosis.
Bitter substances also improve blood flow to internal organs. Consequently, wormwood tincture supports kidney circulation, enhancing their function and aiding the elimination of toxins and metabolic waste. It is helpful in kidney and urinary tract diseases, kidney stones, and kidney sand.
Wormwood tincture stimulates the production of digestive juices, giving it properties that support the treatment of digestive disorders and help maintain the health of the stomach and intestines. Additionally, wormwood stimulates the entire endogenous (internal) immune system, contributing to improved immunity.
Directions for use:
Consume up to 60 ml of the liquid every 2–3 days on an empty stomach, either measured directly or diluted in water.
In practice, for an adult weighing approximately 60 kg, it is usually taken as one liqueur glass – 25 ml of tincture every third day on an empty stomach, but not exceeding 60 ml.
